The Air Service Regulation (EC) No 1008/2008 provides clear rules on the obligations for the travel industry to provide an “all-inclusive” final price at the beginning of the booking process, a breakdown of the final “all inclusive” price which is to include the fare or rate, the taxes, the airport charges and other charges and a clear distinction between unavoidable and optional charges.

ELFAA airlines that have overlapping routes with Sky Europe will be offering specially reduced fares to enable passengers who booked with Sky Europe to return home cheaply and quickly. (Reuters) Bratislava/Viena, Sept. 1. After struggling to restructure debt and cope with sinking revenues in the economic slump SkyEurope Airlines has announced its bankruptcy this morning on the website of the Vienna Stock Exchange, which also means the immediate suspension of all of their flights.

Prague airport had said it would bar SkyEurope landings from Tuesday because it had failed to pay outstanding bills. Vienna airport already stopped servicing SkyEurope on Aug. 15 for not paying outstanding invoices by midnight on the previous day.

SkyEurope had a fleet of 14 aircraft with 697 employees serving 38 destinations at the end of 2008. Its flight load factor was 72.7 percent.
